I miss SoftDent

I used SoftDent for 4+ years. My overall experience was positive. I am with a new provider now and do not use the software, but I miss the ease of use with SoftDent.

Fast-Paced, High Turnover, and Constant Change – A Challenging Environment with Room for Improvement

Pros: Opportunity to develop problem-solving skills under pressure Fast-paced environment keeps work interesting Exposure to various aspects of operations and logistics Cons: Constant restructuring disrupts workflow and stability High turnover rate and staffing shortages lead to heavy workloads Minimal work-life balance due to high demands Advice to management: As an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and Operations Coordinator at Carestream Dental, I've found the experience both challenging and dynamic. The role itself is essential, overseeing returns and logistics in a fast-paced…

Stay Away

Pros: Working from home and not going into the office. Cons: Pay is way too low. Advice to management: Management doesn't listen to employees or clients. Ok to losing business to competition, as long as they pay fees.

Nice team

Pros: Work from home, solid team and nice manager. Flexiable to accomidate. Cons: Understaffed, Different expectations for different teams based on low standards being allowed to continue. Worst company I have ever worked for.

Pros: I was able to work remotely. Cons: The incompetence at every level from the director down to the level one manager is staggering. Nobody in a position of authority is deserving of their job, and the collective sales performance of the team reflect that. Advice to management: It is a hotbed of incompetence and corruption, and they should really just do a clean sweep and rip and replace everyone in positions of authority.

Great team, bad company

Pros: Great team, remote work, good benefits. If it wasn't for my team and the relationships I've built here I would not be working here Cons: Bad senior management, decisions made that make no sense, you're treated like a number on a spreadsheet. Pay raises are almost non existent and progression is not there. There is no reward for hard work. Management are reactive not proactive, causing anger to the customer base that then falls on staff to defend things they dont agree with. Product development pushes new features rather than fixing existing issues. You are nothing to them but a number…

Worst, Cheapest, Lowest Salary company 2 work for

Pros: None really, they have remote positions, but pay you like it's back in 1990, even the manager pay is low, like 50k or 55k Cons: Everything, low pay, no overtime allowed, can't get vacation approved because they only let certain amount take vacay, cuz they are too cheap to hire more, tier 1 support is in another country, so you would they could afford to pay the tier 2 reps more, but no

Leadership Out of Touch, Morale at an All-Time Low

Pros: Worked with a supportive and collaborative team that made the day-to-day more bearable Had a great direct manager who genuinely cared and did their best to support us Learned valuable foundational skills early on in the role Remote role Cons: The cons are endless, and unfortunately, they far outweigh any positives. Carestream Dental has become a place where employees are treated like nothing more than disposable numbers, a cog in an ever-churning machine that cares more about cutting costs than investing in its people. Experienced staff are systematically pushed out, not valued, not…

Decent pay and benefits

Pros: Health benefits are decent, and Carestream seems to not try to pinch pennies to pay for great people. I have many coworkers that have been there more than 20 years! Cons: Carestream doesn’t put much of an effort towards individual employee growth, professionally or mentally). It is often difficult to feel like part of a team, as everyone is secluded working from home. Decisions are made from the top down (with little or no collaboration with middle management and other senior employees), and usually in the form of a fire drill and a result of financial focus. Advice to management:…

Leadership Misalignment and a Culture of Diffused Responsibility

Pros: Exposure to complex organizational environments and opportunities to learn from navigating challenging operational dynamics. Cons: Despite the organization’s reputation and resources, my overall experience working there was deeply disappointing and, in many ways, regrettable. The environment often felt reactive rather than strategic. Many initiatives were discussed at length but rarely translated into meaningful implementation. Ownership of responsibilities was frequently unclear, creating situations where contractors or temporary staff were expected to carry significant operational…
